Is L-Aspartic Acid the same as D-Aspartic Acid?
L-Aspartic Acid and D-Aspartic Acid are both different forms of the amino acid Aspartic Acid. The main difference between the two lies in their molecular structure and stereochemistry. In L-Aspartic Acid, the functional amino group is on the left side of the molecule, hence the prefix āLā, whereas with D-Aspartic Acid, the amino group is on the right side.
